by Amelia Crawford

The Frisco Police Department has arrested 19-year-old Antwain Williams in connection with an aggravated robbery after he attempted to evade arrest.

On December 16, around 5:44 p.m., officers responded to a robbery at the Legends at Legacy apartment complex, located at 3700 Legacy Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered a victim in the parking lot suffering from a deep laceration to the neck. Despite his injuries, the victim, a Lyft driver, was able to tell officers that a customer had attacked him, stabbed him in the neck, and stolen his vehicle.

Frisco detectives quickly gathered evidence and identified the suspect. By 9 p.m., officers spotted the stolen vehicle near the intersection of 423 and 380. When they attempted to stop the car, the driver fled at high speed, but officers lost sight of the vehicle near 423 and Rockhill. Thanks to the quick response of multiple law enforcement agencies in the area, the suspect was apprehended after a second pursuit and a foot chase.

Williams now faces charges of Aggravated Robbery (1st degree Felony), Evading Arrest or Detention (with a vehicle, State Jail Felony), and Evading Arrest or Detention (on foot, Class A Misdemeanor). He also had an outstanding warrant for Sexual Performance by a Child (1st degree Felony).
