by Ananya Mehta

Four habitual offenders were arrested by Tolichowki police on Monday, June 16, for their involvement in a recent theft. The accused—Md. Abdul Salman, Shaik Asif, Md. Nawaz, and Md. Abdul Feroz—were apprehended near the passport office at Shaikpet X roads. However, a fifth suspect, Syed Fazal, remains at large.

The case was initiated after Md. Tofij and his friend Md. Sahabaj Alam filed complaints stating they were robbed of Rs1,000 and Rs4,450 respectively on June 15 near a bakery at Hakeempet X roads. The assailants impersonated police officials to threaten the victims before fleeing with the stolen money.

Police investigations are ongoing to apprehend the remaining suspect and prevent further incidents.
