Four Drug Peddlers Arrested with Heroin in Shimla

Police Seize 27 Grams of 'Chitta' in Two Separate Arrests

In two separate incidents, Shimla police have arrested four drug peddlers and seized a total of 27 grams of heroin (‘chitta’) from their possession.

In the first case, Ashish Chandel from Barot village and Rajat Sharma from Baldwada village in Mandi district were apprehended by the Shimla Police’s Special Cell team. They were caught with 19.64 grams of heroin at the apple mandi in the Bhattakufer locality.

In the second case, Rajneesh Motiyan from Jakhi village and Parth Makta from Andhra village in Chirgaon, Shimla, were arrested from their rented room in Indra Nagar. The police recovered 7.3 grams of heroin from their possession.

SP Shimla, Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi, confirmed that cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985 have been filed against the accused, and the investigation is ongoing.
