In a swift operation, Bhojpur police arrested four burglars involved in a housebreaking and theft at the residence of Mohan Sharma, a former village mukhiya of Sohra panchayat, within 24 hours of receiving the complaint. The theft occurred on Tuesday night at the family’s home in Hematpur village, which falls under the jurisdiction of Krishnagarh police station.

According to the police, Mohan Sharma’s wife filed the complaint after discovering that the burglary occurred while no family members were present at the house. Acting quickly, Pawan Kumar, the SHO of Krishnagarh police station, reported that the police team managed to track down the suspects and recover all the stolen goods by Wednesday morning.

The arrested burglars have been identified as Kallu Paswan and his three co-villagers: Saroj Kumar, Sanjit Kumar, and Yuvraj Paswan. The police were able to recover valuable household items, including three electric water motors, a refrigerator, a washing machine, four cellphones, saris, and other household items.

Legal experts note that if convicted of housebreaking with intent to commit theft, the accused could face up to seven years in prison along with a fine.

The prompt action by the police has successfully brought the criminals to justice, with the stolen goods safely returned to the victims.
