The Cyber Police on Saturday made a significant breakthrough in an online job fraud case, arresting four individuals involved in defrauding victims. The police seized Rs42 lakh in unaccounted cash, 64 ATM cards, 21 SIM cards, two passports, and a laptop from the accused.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Shubham Sharma and Neeraj Gurjar, both residents of Madhya Pradesh, Deepak Kumar from Bihar, and Raj Gound from Uttar Pradesh. According to the Cyber Police, the arrested suspects were running an online job fraud racket, targeting individuals seeking employment opportunities. They are suspected of using various deceptive tactics to lure victims into fraudulent job schemes, leading to financial losses.
The police discovered the large stash of unaccounted cash, multiple ATM cards, and SIM cards while conducting raids at the suspects’ residences. The items seized are believed to be used for illegal transactions and to facilitate their fraudulent activities. The authorities are continuing their investigation into the network of this online scam, which appears to have targeted numerous victims across various states.
