BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Authorities arrested four out-of-state suspects in Ascension Parish who were allegedly involved in a multi-state organized theft ring.

The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office announced on June 17 that Missouri resident Joshua Olsen, 19, and Florida residents Juan Dominguez-Juarez, 19, Jeny Dominguez, 22, and Taimyreliz Molina, 19, were booked into the Ascension Parish Jail. They face felony charges for organized retail theft under $5,000 and criminal trespass.

The arrests stem from a June 13 incident at the Lowe’s in Gonzales, where two suspects stole merchandise valued at around $2,000. Deputies linked the suspects’ vehicle to a series of thefts at nine retail stores in Mississippi and Louisiana.

After locating and pulling over the vehicle, deputies arrested the four occupants. A search warrant executed on the vehicle recovered approximately $25,000 worth of stolen goods.

The investigation remains ongoing, with additional charges expected from other jurisdictions.
