Four Arrested in Marion County Murder After Failed Narcotics Deal

Shootout at Tubello Court leaves two teens dead, investigation ongoing

MARION COUNTY, S.C. — Four individuals have been charged with murder following a shootout on May 29 in Marion County, authorities announced Monday.

Wyatt Thomas Ashley, 17, of Myrtle Beach; Jordan Isaac Beaty, 20, of Conway; Tay’Shawn Dajour Bethea, 22, of Marion; and Nathin Lee Lancour, 21, of Loris, were taken into custody in connection with the fatal shooting at 1708 Tubello Court.

According to officials, the incident occurred around 7:15 p.m. when Ashley, Beaty, Lancour, and a juvenile traveled to Tubello Court for a narcotics transaction. Upon arrival, Bethea and another juvenile attempted to rob the group, sparking an exchange of gunfire that resulted in the deaths of two teenagers.

Authorities confirmed the investigation is ongoing, and additional arrests are expected.
