In a significant breakthrough, the Afzalgunj police in Hyderabad arrested four individuals involved in a series of gold chain thefts across the city on Tuesday. The arrested gang members—32-year-old Kamble Srinu, 36-year-old Md Mahboob, 45-year-old Vemula Srinu, and 22-year-old Kamble Vikas—were apprehended while attempting to sell stolen gold jewellery in the Gowliguda area.
Police recovered 2.5 tolas of stolen gold chains from the suspects, marking a key development in the investigation. These individuals are believed to be part of a larger gang responsible for multiple thefts targeting citizens in various parts of Hyderabad.
Three other members of the gang—identified as Vijay, Karan, and Saddam—remain on the run, and police are actively working to track them down. The arrests and subsequent recovery of the stolen gold have provided valuable leads as authorities continue to investigate further.
The Afzalgunj police have urged residents to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities to prevent further crimes. The public is also reminded to take necessary precautions to safeguard their valuables.
