On Monday evening, Digboi police arrested at least four individuals, including a transport driver and three loaders, in connection with a theft at the AOD-managed Gopaneri LPG Bottling Plant in Tinsukia district.
The arrested suspects were identified as Tarun Panika, the driver of the vehicle (Transport No. AS23CC 9170), and three loaders—Bokul Dangoria, Dibya Jyoti Borah, and Suwi Urang. Dangoria and Borah hail from Bortorani village, while Urang is from Mamorani village, all in Tinsukia district.
The authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident, which has raised concerns about security at the plant.
