Sacramento, Calif. — Four individuals, including three brothers, were arrested in connection with a violent robbery at the Kim Tin Jewelry Store in South Sacramento that resulted in the death of the store’s owner.

The robbery took place on November 15 at the Little Vietnam Plaza, where deputies responded to the scene after receiving reports of a robbery. Upon arrival, they found the store’s owners inside, with one of them, Uc Thi Vo, suffering from a gunshot wound. Investigators later determined that the store owner accidentally shot his wife during the chaotic moments of the robbery. Tragically, she later died at the hospital.

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office reports that 12 individuals were involved in the robbery, which included breaking down the store’s front door and smashing jewelry display cases with hammers and pickaxes. Authorities have arrested four suspects in connection to the crime:

Aaron Fuimaono, 28, of San Francisco – Arrested on charges of robbery and conspiracy.
Nethaniel Fuimaono, 22, of Concord – Arrested on charges of grand theft and organized retail theft.
Sonny Fuimaono, 19, of Suisun City – Arrested on robbery and gun charges.
Hanson Dang, 19, of Suisun City – Arrested on a robbery charge.
The Sheriff’s Office did not provide specific dates for the arrests, but deputies confirmed the suspects were all in custody.

Investigators revealed that the suspects entered the store, destroying the front door and display cases, and made off with a significant amount of jewelry. The exact value of the stolen items is still unknown. During the robbery, Vo’s husband, who was in the back of the store, fired his weapon in an attempt to stop the suspects. Tragically, Vo, who was out front handling the situation, was shot and later succumbed to her injuries.

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office released surveillance footage showing masked men ransacking the store, with one worker attempting to protect the store and customers.

Robyn Ha, a nearby business owner, expressed her sorrow for the couple, who had been in the area for decades. She said, “It was just a comfort to see them. A married couple like them, I always strive to hope to be as cute and as old as they were. They were really a loving couple.”

The suspects arrested during the investigation were found to have handguns in their possession. All four are currently being held at the main jail. The investigation into the robbery and the stolen jewelry continues.
