Four people, including two teenagers, are facing charges in connection to the fatal shooting of 19-year-old Anthony Ward III in District Heights, Maryland. The suspects, aged 16, 17, and two 19-year-olds, have been identified as Michael Zion Jones, Jacorey White, a 16-year-old boy from Hyattsville, and a 17-year-old boy from Fort Washington. Despite their ages, all four suspects have been charged as adults.

According to the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit, Ward was shot and killed on June 10, 2024, in the 5400 block of Marlboro Pike around 3:15 p.m. He was one of three victims found at the scene, with another man and a woman surviving the attack. The investigation revealed that the suspects and victims were acquainted, and the shooting stemmed from an ongoing dispute. However, authorities have not released further details about the nature of the conflict.

The four suspects have been charged with first and second-degree murder, attempted murder, and related offenses. They are currently in the custody of the Department of Corrections with no bond.

The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to probe the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
