A team led by Kamrup District Additional Superintendent of Police Kalyan Pathak arrested four drug peddlers and seized 121 grams of heroin valued at approximately Rs 1 crore. The drugs were concealed inside 10 soap boxes packed in a Mahindra Bolero (registration AS01FR2311) traveling from Guwahati to Mankachar.

The arrested suspects — Ali Hussain, Ebat Hussain, Akhinul Islam, and Nur Alam — are all residents within the jurisdiction of Mankachar police station. The seizure followed a police tip-off and was carried out on Wednesday afternoon.

Boko police have initiated an investigation into the case as efforts continue to dismantle drug trafficking networks in the region.
