DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A shooting that took place during rush hour on Friday in DeKalb County is being investigated as drug-related, according to local authorities.

The incident happened in the 5000 block of Memorial Drive, where gunfire erupted outside Beauty Exposed, a salon that police say was allegedly involved in narcotics distribution. The shooting prompted a heavy police response, including the DeKalb County SWAT team, and briefly shut down Memorial Drive, a major thoroughfare, during peak traffic hours.

Gunfire and Chaos

Witnesses reported seeing at least two individuals fleeing the scene carrying what appeared to be rifles. Authorities confirmed that while the shooters remain at large, the location itself has become the focus of a deeper investigation.

During the investigation, officers uncovered drugs and firearms at the salon. Four individuals were arrested on related charges:

Jason Hill, 26

Shanteria Sommerville, 33

Shalom Avraham, 41

Delilah Ardis, 63

Authorities have not yet released descriptions of the armed suspects still at large, but investigations are ongoing.

Ongoing Investigation

As of Monday, DeKalb County Police have not announced additional arrests. Officials continue to look into the connection between the business and the shooting, as well as any broader criminal activity involving narcotics distribution.
