Former Troup County Employee Wesleigh Gaddy Arrested for Theft

Wesleigh Gaddy Faces Theft Charges After Misusing County Payroll System

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested and charged former Troup County Board of Commissioners’ employee, Wesleigh Gaddy, 35, of Hogansville, Georgia, with one count of Theft by Taking. Additional charges are currently under investigation.

On Monday, May 5, 2025, the Troup County District Attorney’s Office requested the assistance of the GBI in a theft investigation concerning Gaddy, who previously worked as the Payroll and Benefit Generalist for the county. The investigation revealed that Gaddy had misused the Troup County Board of Commissioners’ payroll system.

Gaddy has been booked into the Troup County Jail, where he is awaiting further legal proceedings.
