FRISCO, Texas — Former NFL linebacker Myles Jack was arrested Tuesday morning in Frisco following reports that he discharged a firearm inside a residence, according to police.

Officers responded to a welfare concern around 5:40 a.m. in the 2400 block of Haft River Road. When they arrived, police said they heard gunshots coming from inside the home. Authorities established a perimeter and evacuated several nearby houses as a precaution.

Police reported that Jack, 30, was later seen breaking a second-story window and attempting to climb out of the residence before falling to the ground. He was taken into custody at approximately 7:12 a.m. and transported to a local hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries related to the fall.

Investigators confirmed that no other individuals were inside the home at the time of the incident.

Jack was charged with deadly conduct involving the discharge of a firearm, a third-degree felony, along with discharge of a firearm in certain municipalities, a Class A misdemeanor.

Jack played for the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2016 to 2021 and later with the Pittsburgh Steelers during the 2022 and 2023 seasons. He is also a co-owner of the Allen Americans, a minor league hockey team.

In a statement released through attorney Chris Lewis, Jack’s mother, La Sonjia Jack — also a co-owner of the Allen Americans — emphasized concern for both her son and the surrounding community.

“As a mother, my natural concern has always been the physical and mental well-being of my son,” she said. “That said, I also want to express the same concern for our Frisco neighbors and thank the Frisco Police Department for their careful handling of the situation.”

She added that the family is taking the matter seriously and asked for patience from the Frisco community and the broader sports world as the investigation continues.

Authorities said the case remains under active investigation.
