Former Member of Parliament Nimal Lanza surrendered to Kochchikade Police today, August 29. He is expected to be produced before the Negombo Magistrate’s Court later the same day. The Attorney General has filed charges against Lanza relating to an assault and trespassing incident that occurred during a protest in 2006. This case has been under legal consideration for years before the recent action.
