Punjab Police arrested former Congress MLA Satkar Kaur, now a member of the BJP, and her driver Jaskeerat Singh for allegedly attempting to sell 100 grams of heroin in Mohali’s Kharar area. The arrests were made by the Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) on Wednesday.
According to Inspector General (Headquarters) Sukhchain Singh Gill, Satkar Kaur and her driver were apprehended in the presence of two independent witnesses while trying to sell the contraband to a decoy. A total of 100 grams of heroin was seized from the accused during the operation.
Both Satkar Kaur and her driver Jaskeerat Singh were taken into custody, and further investigations are underway. This incident has raised serious concerns about the involvement of prominent political figures in the narcotics trade.
