TAMPA, Fla. (CBS12) — Ioannis Pahoumis, a Florida club owner, was convicted on multiple charges related to his involvement in an organized drug and human trafficking ring.
The Florida Attorney General’s Office announced on Wednesday that Pahoumis, 45, was found guilty of racketeering, conspiracy to commit racketeering, trafficking in cocaine, and other felony charges. The conviction stems from his role as the owner of Risque Gentlemen’s Club in Tampa, where a joint investigation revealed illegal activities.
“Thanks to the efforts of our law enforcement partners and the hard work of Assistant Statewide Prosecutors Debra Bell and Ryan Shaw, we have secured this important conviction,” said Attorney General James Uthmeier. “By holding criminals accountable, we make our communities safer.”
The investigation, led by the Tampa Police Department, uncovered drug sales and human trafficking at Pahoumis’s establishment. Undercover operations showed employees and dancers at the club were involved in drug transactions and offering commercial sex acts. Evidence pointed directly to Pahoumis’s involvement in these illicit activities.
Pahoumis faces several charges, including racketeering, conspiracy to commit racketeering, trafficking in over 28 grams of cocaine, conspiracy to commit trafficking in cocaine, and money laundering exceeding $100,000. He is scheduled for sentencing on May 27 in Hillsborough County.
