In a major crackdown, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) and Customs authorities arrested two women for smuggling narcotics worth Rs16 crore at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.

There, she purged three capsules containing approximately 219 grams of cocaine. Florence was arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
In a separate case, Customs’ Air Intelligence Unit arrested Rukshar Sayyed, a resident of Malvani, upon her arrival from Sri Lanka. A thorough search of her baggage revealed 15 kilograms of marijuana concealed within 21 shirts. The estimated street value of the seized marijuana is Rs15 crore.
