Florence, AL – A man has been arrested in connection with the theft of multiple packages from a home on Meadowcrest Drive in Florence. The thefts occurred on November 22, with the victim reporting that over $600 worth of packages were stolen from their porch shortly after delivery.
Dalton Ray Hayes, the suspect, was apprehended by Florence Police. At the time of his arrest, Hayes was found driving a GPS-equipped vehicle registered to his employer. Police said the employer cooperated with the investigation, providing location data to help link Hayes to the crime.
Further investigation revealed Hayes’ involvement in three separate incidents of package theft. He is currently being held at the Lauderdale County Detention Center while the investigation continues.
