Five men have been charged with fraud-related offences following a dramatic police pursuit along the A47 between Tilney All Saints and the outskirts of March. The charges stem from an incident on Tuesday, October 1, when a victim reported being defrauded by a group of rogue traders in King’s Lynn.

The group of suspects was apprehended the following day, after their vehicle failed to stop for police, initiating a pursuit that took them through King’s Lynn and into Cambridgeshire. The chase ended on the A141 Wisbech Road, near March, where the five men were arrested.

All suspects were taken to King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning. They were later charged and remanded in custody before their appearance at Norwich Magistrates Court on Friday.

The individuals charged include:

  • Kenny Hughes Jnr, 33, of Cranfield Park Avenue, Wickford: Charged with dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, driving without insurance, failing to stop, and conspiracy to defraud.
  • Craig Robertson, 36, of Windsor Street, Luton: Charged with conspiracy to defraud.
  • Kevin Price, 18, of Dunstable Road, Leighton Buzzard: Charged with conspiracy to defraud.
  • Tommy Brown, 23, of Church Road, Romford: Charged with conspiracy to defraud.
  • Kenny Hughes, 52, of St. Thomas’ Road, Luton: Charged with conspiracy to defraud.

This case highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to crack down on fraudulent activities and rogue trading schemes targeting vulnerable victims.
