Five men have been arrested following a major drug raid conducted Thursday by the Staunton-Augusta Drug Enforcement Task Force and the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) in Waynesboro, Virginia.
The raid targeted a residence on Beagle Gap Road, part of an ongoing investigation into narcotics distribution. ACSO confirmed their SWAT team safely executed the search warrant, temporarily shutting down the road during the operation. Authorities recovered illegal narcotics, firearms, and U.S. currency from the home and vehicles on the property.
“I hope the success of last night’s operation will restore peace within our community for this area,” said Sheriff Donald Smith.
