CHESTER, R.I. — Five men were arrested in Rhode Island following a major investigation into cocaine and fentanyl distribution, authorities said.
The Rhode Island State Police, in coordination with the HIDTA Task Force and Massachusetts State Police, executed search warrants at residences in Bellingham, Central Falls, and Woonsocket.
Police reported seizing over 4,800 grams of cocaine, 100 grams of fentanyl, two fully loaded semi-automatic pistols, and $79,000 in cash from homes in Central Falls and Bellingham.
The arrested individuals include 23-year-old Enyel Delapaz Pantojas, 22-year-old Eddyziel Mejia Cortes, 21-year-old Daryl Yahir Melendez Lopez (all from Bellingham), 29-year-old Hector Ramos of Woonsocket, and 56-year-old Ricardo Salazar of Central Falls.
Authorities said the homes were being used to store, package, and distribute narcotics. The men face multiple charges, including possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, and possession of a firearm while committing a controlled substance violation.
