Five Arrested in Owensboro Meth Trafficking Bust

Brandon Kellems, Ashley Stewart, and others face drug trafficking charges

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WFIE) — Owensboro Police Department’s Street Crime Unit arrested five individuals during two search warrants linked to a drug trafficking investigation on Thornton Avenue.

At one residence, 42-year-old Brandon Kellems and 38-year-old Ashley Stewart were taken into custody. Officers recovered a large quantity of methamphetamine, THC products, various drug paraphernalia, and firearms.

At a second home, 32-year-old Jessica Alexander, 27-year-old Stephen Mayfield, and 29-year-old Travis Lamb were arrested. Authorities seized trafficking amounts of meth, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

All five suspects now face multiple charges, including trafficking controlled substances.
