Five Arrested in Karmad Electronics Shop Theft

Police Recover Stolen Goods Worth Rs 1.82 Lakh

Karmad Police and Local Crime Branch (LCB) have arrested five accused in connection with a theft at Shriram Electricals and Electronics Shop, officials said Friday. The stolen goods were valued at Rs 1.82 lakh, and the arrests have also solved four previous cases linked to the accused.

The complainant, Sandeep Vinayakrao Muley (40) of Shendra Phata, reported the theft on Thursday. The arrested individuals include Manoj Sunil Limbhore (21), Santosh Ashok Jadhav (27), Suhas Ramkisan Dhotare (28), Dharmendra Manjilal Gungale (24), and Ajay Anil Gaikwad (18), all residents of rural areas of the district.

Police confirmed that Pravin Kale and Ajay Palhale are still absconding and actively being searched.

Investigations revealed that the suspects used a Mahindra Bolero (MH 17 BY 8260) to carry out the crime, registered in the name of Manoj Limbhore. The vehicle was traced, and a police trap led to the five arrests. Interrogation indicated that two more individuals were involved in the theft.

The operation was conducted under the supervision of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar SP Dr Vinay Kumar Rathod and Addl SP Annapurna Singh, with the LCB team led by PI Vijay Singh Rajput. The search for the remaining accused is ongoing.
