IRVINE, Calif. — Five people have been arrested in connection with a series of burglaries targeting homes in Southern California, including a transnational organized crime ring. The suspects were charged on Monday after being linked to burglaries in Irvine, Fontana, and Colton.

The defendants were identified as:

Jesus Antonio Hernandez Chavez, 42, from Fontana

John Fredy Sanabria, 42, from Fontana

Duber Salarte, 48, from Fontana

Jhon Marlon Osorioarias, 24, from Fontana

Isneidy Ortizvalencia, 29, from Colton

The burglary incidents took place in Irvine on April 20, Easter Sunday. Police were alerted when a resident of a home on Cultivate Street received alerts from their home surveillance system, showing intruders inside the property. Officers arrived to find the home ransacked, with stolen valuables, including designer purses and jewelry.

Osorioarias was arrested in the vicinity after he claimed to be delivering food through an app but was unable to provide a customer address, which led authorities to link him to the burglary. During the investigation, police followed leads that led them to the other suspects, who were later placed under surveillance.

The investigation revealed that the suspects were allegedly involved in multiple break-ins across Southern California, with incidents on April 20 and May 15, and an attempted break-in on May 14.

The charges against the suspects include:

Hernandez Chavez and Ortizvalencia: Two counts of burglary, one count of attempted burglary, one count of conspiracy to commit a crime, and four counts of receiving stolen property, along with a misdemeanor count of possession of burglary tools.

Sanabria and Salarte: Two counts of burglary, one count of attempted burglary, one count of conspiracy to commit a crime, and a misdemeanor count of possession of burglary tools.

Osorioarias: Two counts of burglary, one count of attempted burglary, one count of conspiracy to commit a crime, and misdemeanor counts of possession of burglary tools and unlawful tampering with a vehicle.

The authorities believe the suspects were part of a transnational crime operation, responsible for a series of home burglaries across the region. They face multiple felony charges and are currently in custody.

Investigation Ongoing
The investigation is still ongoing, and police continue to investigate whether other individuals are involved in the burglary ring.

Authorities urge anyone with information related to these crimes to come forward to assist in the investigation.
