In a major drug bust, five individuals, including three college students, were arrested on charges of smuggling and selling cocaine, methamphetamine, and original Ganja (OG) in the Choolaimedu area. The police seized a total of 51 grams of methamphetamine during the operation.

Based on a specific tip-off, a police team led by Choolaimedu police tracked down the suspects who were selling synthetic drugs, primarily targeting college students. After monitoring the movements of the drug dealers, they apprehended a suspect, Nalin Fasid (32). Following his confession, the police arrested An-Riyan Soni (19), Mikan (20), and Ayan Khan (23)—all students of a city college—and Mayur (35), a non-student involved in the operation.

During a search of the students’ rooms, the police discovered 51 grams of cocaine, 850 grams of Ganja, and three grams of OG (Original Ganja). The arrested suspects were produced before a magistrate and remanded in judicial custody.

The police are continuing their investigation into the drug trafficking network and its reach within educational institutions.
