BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Two men have been arrested in connection with a robbery and assault that left a victim injured earlier this month, according to the Birmingham Police Department.
Authorities identified the suspects as 27-year-old Anthony Ferguson Jr. and 30-year-old Corey Latham, both of Birmingham. They have been charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree assault.
Police say the incident occurred on March 14 in the 6800 block of 1st Avenue North, where a man was assaulted and injured. Following an investigation by the department’s Crime Reduction Team, both suspects were taken into custody on March 23 without incident.
Ferguson Jr. and Latham are expected to be transported to the Jefferson County Jail as the case proceeds.
