Father Kills Two-Month-Old Son in Fit of Rage in Patna District

Vikas Kumar arrested after slamming baby to the floor during family dispute

In a tragic incident on Wednesday, a 25-year-old man from Rohuan village in the Lahsuna police station area of Patna district killed his two-month-old baby son by slamming him onto the floor during a fit of rage. The horrifying act occurred amid a family dispute with his wife. The accused father, identified as Vikas Kumar, was arrested by the police after receiving information about the incident.

Masaurhi SDPO-2, Nav Vaibhav, confirmed that Vikas Kumar had been apprehended and said, “The arrested person has been identified as Vikas Kumar. The FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) team collected samples from the crime scene. The reason behind the killing is a family dispute.”

Lahsuna SHO, Khusbu Kumari, added that Vikas, a construction worker, had confessed to the crime. The baby was the only child of the couple, and this heart-wrenching incident has left the local community in shock.
