Fatehpur police arrested Bhim Singh alias Ajay, 34, a resident of Udhannapur, on Thursday near Khaga new bus depot road. During the arrest, police recovered Rs 2.71 lakh in cash and jewellery worth Rs 7.5 lakh from his possession.
Authorities stated that Bhim Singh is a known history-sheeter of Kotwali police station with seven pending cases against him. He is accused of executing a theft at a house in Udhannapur village on August 26. The police continue their investigation.
