FARGO, N.D. — Jordan Brewster was arrested following an alleged domestic violence incident where he choked a woman to the point she could not breathe, according to court documents.
Officers responded just after midnight on August 24 after neighbors reported hearing yelling and distress at an apartment complex. The victim told police that Brewster became physically violent during an argument over her plans to go out with friends.
According to court records, Brewster grabbed the woman by the neck, slammed her onto a bed, and choked her until she was unable to speak or breathe. Despite attempts to call for help from a window, Brewster allegedly dragged her to the living room.
The victim also showed photos of previous injuries, including two black eyes from a prior incident in June.
Brewster denied choking the victim but admitted to pushing her after an altercation with a neighbor who called the police.
Police determined Brewster was the aggressor and charged him with a Class C Felony for domestic violence causing serious bodily injury. He is set to appear in court on August 25.
