Fall River’s Ronald Joncas Sentenced for Two Armed Robberies

Joncas received a 6-12 year prison sentence after guilty plea

A Fall River man, Ronald S. Joncas, 59, has been sentenced to 6-12 years in prison after pleading guilty to two armed robberies that occurred in September 2022.

Details of the Crimes
On September 27, 2022, Joncas robbed a man at knifepoint near Oak Street and Bank Street, demanding money before fleeing. The victim was able to track Joncas to a nearby residence, leading to his arrest by Fall River Police.

Joncas was also linked to an armed robbery at Star Market on September 25, 2022.

Sentencing
After pleading guilty on Monday, Joncas was sentenced on Wednesday to 6-12 years in prison, with 891 days credited for time served.
