Fall River Police Arrest Two in Somerset Drug Bust

Derek Jones and Monica Thibault face drug trafficking charges after raid

SOMERSET, Mass. – Two individuals were arrested after a drug bust in Somerset on Thursday, following an investigation into a drug operation being run out of a camper.

Fall River police received information about 34-year-old Derek Jones and 31-year-old Monica Thibault, who were allegedly selling methamphetamine and other drugs in the Fall River and Somerset areas. The authorities executed a search warrant at the camper located at 147 Luther Avenue and discovered both suspects inside.

During the search, police found 114 grams of methamphetamine, digital scales, and packaging materials. Jones was apprehended while hiding in a storage area beneath the camper’s bed.

Derek Jones faces charges of:

Trafficking over 100 grams of methamphetamine

Possession of Class B drugs

Other outstanding warrants

Monica Thibault is charged with:

Trafficking over 100 grams of methamphetamine

Possession of Class B drugs

Both suspects are currently facing serious drug-related charges, and the investigation is ongoing.
