A former West Yorkshire Police officer, Jenade Yamin, 30, has been charged with 13 counts of misconduct in a public office, including assisting an offender, the force announced.

Yamin, who served in the Calderdale district, allegedly committed the offences between November 2019 and May 2022. The charges stem from an investigation into computer misuse, unauthorized disclosure of police information, assisting an offender, and fraud.

Yamin resigned from West Yorkshire Police in 2023 while under investigation.

He is due to appear at Bradford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
