TULSA, Okla. – Former Southern University football player Quaydarius Davis, 22, was arrested on Saturday, April 12, and booked into Tulsa County Jail on domestic violence-related charges, including first-degree burglary and domestic abuse and battery by strangulation.
The arrest follows the circulation of a social media video that allegedly shows Davis assaulting a woman who claims he choked her until she lost consciousness.
According to police reports, surveillance footage also shows Davis kicking in the victim’s apartment door, entering the residence, and strangling the victim. After the assault, Davis reportedly returned and took several personal items from the apartment.
Davis was dismissed from the Southern University football team in October 2024 for violating team rules, though the school has not disclosed details of the infraction. A university spokesperson confirmed that Davis no longer has any affiliation with SU Athletics.
Earlier this week, Davis announced on Instagram his intention to enter the transfer portal, stating he had one year of eligibility remaining.
The case is under investigation, and further legal proceedings are expected.
