Ex-SC Officer Michael Stackhouse Arrested for Illegal Liquor Sales

SLED finds unlicensed alcohol sales at Loris business

Loris, SC – Former Horry County Police Officer Michael Deontric Stackhouse (36) was arrested on March 10 for illegally selling alcohol at a business he owned, according to South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED).

Key Details:
🔹 Location: Cedar Branch Road, Loris, SC
🔹 Violations Found: Unlicensed sale and storage of alcohol
🔹 Evidence: Kitchen, bar, menus with pricing

Charges Against Stackhouse:
✅ Unlawful sale of alcoholic liquors
✅ Unlawful storage or possession of liquor in a business
✅ Failure to secure beer or wine sale permit
✅ Sale of beer without tax payment

📌 Released the same day, Stackhouse’s past employment with the Horry County Police Department remains unclear. The investigation began after a request from Horry County police.
