CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Former Alice Police Officer Albert Stout was arrested Tuesday on multiple charges, including battery of a pregnant woman, assault causing bodily injury to a family member, and interfering with emergency calls, according to Alice Police Chief Eden Garcia.
Garcia confirmed that Stout had resigned from the Alice Police Department about a year ago and had since joined the Texas A&M Corpus Christi Police Department.
In response to inquiries, a spokesperson from Texas A&M Corpus Christi declined to comment on Stout’s employment status, citing personnel confidentiality. They instead referred the public to the university’s background check policy.
The case is ongoing, and further updates may follow as the investigation develops.
