Former NBA point guard Eric Bledsoe was arrested early Wednesday morning in California after being accused of domestic violence, marking his second such allegation in recent years.
According to reports from TMZ Sports and the California Highway Patrol (CHP), officers responded to a call around 2:30 a.m. concerning a domestic dispute on a freeway near Los Angeles. The investigation led law enforcement to a gas station off US-101, where Bledsoe was found with a woman who showed visible signs of facial injuries.
Authorities noted the woman had bruising and swelling on her face and said Bledsoe had assaulted her. Though the woman declined to provide an official statement, Bledsoe was taken into custody and booked on a felony domestic violence charge. He was held on a $50,000 bail.
This is not the first time Bledsoe has faced domestic violence allegations. In 2022, he was accused of a similar offense, but that case was dropped due to insufficient evidence.
Bledsoe, a 2010 first-round NBA draft pick with a 12-year career, has yet to publicly comment on the latest arrest.
