Baltimore, MD – A former Baltimore priest, William “Father Bill” Mannion, 62, has been arrested for child sexual abuse allegations stemming from incidents in the early 1990s, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.
Mannion is facing charges of second-degree child abuse and multiple sex offenses related to alleged crimes that occurred between 1991 and 1994 at St. Agnes Church on St. Agnes Lane in Baltimore.
Investigation & Arrest
The investigation began in October 2023 when a victim reported the abuse to authorities. According to court documents, the victim disclosed to a therapist that Mannion abused him from second to fourth grade while attending St. Agnes School.
The Archdiocese of Baltimore stated that Mannion left the priesthood in the late 1990s after formally requesting removal from the clerical state for reasons unrelated to the abuse allegations.
