EUREKA, Nev. — On Thursday, February 26, the owner of the Owl Club in Eureka, Eleny Mentaberry, was arrested as part of a year-long drug investigation. Authorities seized guns, drug paraphernalia, and narcotics at the club and attached residence.
The operation was led by the Eastern Nevada Narcotics Task Force and the Eureka County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Nevada State Police, Nevada Division of Investigation, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Elko County Sheriff’s Office, and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.
Investigation and Arrest
Task force detectives conducted two controlled purchases from Mentaberry prior to executing a search warrant at the Owl Club and her residence at 61 North Main Street.
Authorities seized methamphetamine, firearms, and drug-related paraphernalia. Mentaberry was arrested on scene without incident.
She faces the following charges:
Possession of methamphetamine for sale
Commit unauthorized act with methamphetamine
Keeping or maintaining a building to keep and/or sell methamphetamine
Eureka County Sheriff Miles Umina stated, “If you use, sell or purchase drugs, Eureka County Sheriff’s Office has the resources, drive, and motivation to find and arrest you.”
The sheriff thanked all agencies involved for their assistance in the operation, highlighting the collaborative effort to combat drug activity in the county.
