Ethan Christiansen Arrested for Stolen Car and Drug Charges in Naperville

19-year-old faces multiple felonies after fleeing police

NAPERVILLE, Ill. — A Naperville man was arrested Monday after fleeing from a car reported stolen the previous day.

19-year-old Ethan M. Christiansen was driving a 2007 Honda Civic around 2:30 p.m. when a license plate reader detected the vehicle, according to the Naperville Police Department. An Illinois State Police trooper pursued the car, and after local police arrived, Christiansen stopped and fled on foot.

After his arrest, authorities found cocaine inside the vehicle and methamphetamine in the area where he had fled.

The Honda Civic had been reported stolen Sunday morning from the 900 block of North Brainard Street in Naperville. Police also received reports of several other vehicles on the block being burglarized.

Christiansen faces five felony charges, including:

Possession of a stolen motor vehicle

Possession of methamphetamine

Possession of a controlled substance

Aggravated battery

Resisting arrest
