GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Alachua police have arrested 33-year-old Essence Robinson for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of merchandise from Advance Auto Parts stores across north central Florida.
Robinson was taken into custody Thursday after a store manager in the City of Alachua declined a transaction due to prior reports of fraudulent charges at a Lake City location.
Officers later located Robinson at a property in High Springs. During the arrest, police discovered stolen items, blank checks, and receipts from Advance Auto Parts stores in Lake City and Georgia inside her vehicle.
Robinson is currently being held on felony theft charges as the investigation continues.
