The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people after discovering illegal narcotics in a home where drugs were within easy reach of children.
On the morning of March 3, detectives reportedly seized:
3.48 pounds of methamphetamine
Cocaine and ecstasy
Scales, numerous baggies, a vacuum sealing machine, and a money counter
$20,685 in cash
The home was occupied by two small children, and methamphetamine crystals and used glass pipes were found in areas easily accessible to them.
The suspects, 30-year-old Ericka Diamond and 32-year-old Michael Nolan, were arrested and face multiple charges, including child neglect and various drug-related offenses.
Authorities emphasized the danger posed to children living in environments where illegal drugs are easily accessible.
