Emory Quintell Manning, 40, of Ocala, was arrested on August 25 after police discovered a large quantity of drugs and a stolen firearm inside his minivan.
Around 11:20 p.m., an Ocala Police Department officer responded to a call about a minivan parked for several hours near the gas pumps at Sunshine Food Mart on NE 25th Avenue. Upon approaching, the officer found Manning asleep behind the wheel.
During a search of the vehicle, officers found significant amounts of oxycodone, hydrocodone, cocaine, methamphetamine, and MDMA. Additionally, a stolen firearm and over $3,100 in cash were seized.
Manning, a convicted felon, was taken into custody and charged with armed trafficking of multiple narcotics, grand theft of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of controlled substances. He is currently held without bond at Marion County Jail. A court date has yet to be scheduled.
