Emmanuel Ellis Arrested After Domestic Assault in Lyons, NY
LYONS, NY — A Lyons man is facing several charges following a violent domestic incident that prompted a police investigation late last week.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports that 27-year-old Emmanuel Ellis was arrested on Friday after deputies responded to a disturbance at a residence on Geneva Street in the Town of Lyons.
According to investigators, Ellis was involved in a physical altercation where he allegedly struck the victim in the face multiple times with an open hand. Deputies also allege that Ellis placed his hand around the victim’s throat and applied pressure, restricting their ability to breathe.
As a result of the investigation, Ellis was charged with:
Assault in the Third Degree
Criminal Obstruction of Breathing
Aggravated Family Offense
An order of protection has been requested on behalf of the victim. Authorities noted that the investigation remains ongoing, and no further details have been released at this time.
