LAREDO, Tex. — A 24-year-old woman was arrested at a nightclub after social media posts revealed her location, police said.
Elvira Yakelin Martinez was taken into custody on March 22 at a nightclub in the 1000 block of Iturbide Street. Authorities received information indicating that a wanted woman had been posting photos online from the venue.
Officers identified Martinez and confirmed she had three outstanding warrants for sexual offenses issued by the Webb County Sheriff’s Office. She was charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and one count of trafficking a child by engaging in sexual conduct for a benefit.
Martinez was booked at Laredo Police Department headquarters before being transported to the Webb County Jail.
