SHREVEPORT, La. — Elisa Palma, 36, is in custody after allegedly stealing a car, cash, driver’s license, credit/debit cards, and a cell phone from her ex-partner in Shreveport.
Shreveport Police responded Tuesday afternoon, March 24, to a report of a suspicious vehicle near Home Depot on East Bert Kouns Industrial Loop. Officers found Palma driving the stolen car with the missing items in her possession. Surveillance footage from Home Depot reportedly captured Palma attempting to hit a witness with the vehicle.
Palma was read her rights and claimed the cash found in her purse belonged to her. Further investigation revealed she and the victim had previously lived together and were in a relationship.
She is charged with vehicle theft, theft, and aggravated assault. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
