LONGUEUIL, QUE.— Police are searching for potential victims of Kyle Le Huquet, a 37-year-old elementary school teacher arrested on Feb. 27 for online luring and related offenses. His arrest followed a report from a minor in the United Kingdom via Cybertip.ca, Canada’s national tip line for online child exploitation.
According to police spokesperson Jacqueline Pierre, Le Huquet allegedly sent sexual images to the minor and used multiple social media usernames, including The bizzoman, bizzo, and bizzo8 on Snapchat and Instagram.
Search for More Victims
Authorities fear more victims may exist, as Le Huquet communicated in both French and English with individuals in Quebec and abroad. While the youngest known victim is 13 years old, police urge anyone who encountered suspicious behavior from him—whether at school, in public, or online—to come forward.
Parents have been notified by the school where he worked, and authorities emphasize the importance of educating children about Cybertip.ca to report any predatory behavior.
Legal Proceedings & Project Steel
Le Huquet remains in custody and faces charges of luring a child and sharing sexual images of a minor. He appeared in court for a bail hearing at the Longueuil courthouse today.
His arrest is part of Project Steel, a national child exploitation operation that has led to over 100 arrests. In Quebec alone, 30 suspects were arrested, with four in Longueuil, according to provincial police.
