El Paso Man Arrested Twice for Deceptive Business Practices, Auto Theft

EL PASO, Texas — A 41-year-old El Paso man, Emmanuel Cervantes, was arrested twice in January and now faces multiple charges, including deceptive business practices and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, according to the El Paso Police Department.

Cervantes was initially arrested on January 16 by the police’s Auto Theft Task Force for two outstanding warrants related to deceptive business practices. During the investigation, authorities discovered that a vehicle left at Cervantes’ auto shop for repairs had been used without the owner’s permission.

On January 22, Cervantes was arrested again, this time on two additional warrants for deceptive business practices, with his bonds totaling $120,000. The charges stem from his history of illegal activities related to business fraud and vehicle misuse.

Cervantes is currently being held at the El Paso County Detention Facility. Authorities continue their investigation into his business practices and the unauthorized use of vehicles under his care.
