El Paso Man Arrested for Stealing Catalytic Converters

David Earl Hardy faces multiple theft charges after allegedly targeting catalytic converters across the city

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) – David Earl Hardy, a 24-year-old man from El Paso, has been arrested and charged with stealing multiple catalytic converters throughout the city, according to the El Paso Police Department.

Officers from the department’s Auto Theft Task Force apprehended Hardy on the 1400 block of Goodyear. He is facing three theft charges, each related to catalytic converters valued at less than $30,000 to replace.

Hardy was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility, where Judge Moore set a bond of $2,500 for each charge.
